Peanut Butter Pie

Scripture To Live By:

Many of us have played hide and go seek in our lifetime.  The Bible talks about another kind of hiding and go seeking.

But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
2 Corinthians 4:3, 4

For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
Luke 19:10

Jesus came to seek and to save that which was lost.  God has told us he wants us to share His Light in this world of darkness.

Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. Isaiah 43:10

This Christmas season I want the world to know that God so love this world that He gave his one and only Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Recipe Post:

This is a very simple pie to make yet it is very tasty. It takes ingredients that are familiar to most of our kitchen cupboards and refrigerators.           Here is what you will need:
1 baked pie crust
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup peanut butter

Mix these two ingredients together until crumbly. Put 3/4 of the mixture in the bottom of the baked pie crust. Set aside, the rest to go on the top of the pie later.

Mix the following ingredients in a microwaveable dish:
2 cups of milk
1/4 cup of corn starch
3 eggs beaten
2/3 cup of sugar

Heat in the microwave for one minute and stir, return to microwave and repeat the process until the mixture is thick.  When the mixture is thick, add 1/4 cup of butter and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla.
(Cooking it in the microwave oven like this prevents scorching the filling.)

Pour in the pie crust and let cool thoroughly. Then refrigerate until ready to serve.

When ready to serve, top with Cool Whip

Sprinkle the remainder of the peanut butter mixture on top of the Cool Whip.

Slice and put on a serving dish.

This Peanut Butter Pie is one of my husband's absolute favorite pies.  I am not sure where I got this recipe.  I think I saw  it in an Amish Cookbook years ago. When we lived in another state, there was a local Amish restaurant that made a very similar pie.

Blessings,
