Scripture to Live By:
Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.
And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:
And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?
Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
1 Corinthians 15:3,4
I love spring time and all the freshness of new life every where. We have been seeing little calves with their mommies in the fields. We are seeing the daffodils in bud, ready to start opening up
to display their beauty. As I look forward to Easter and the celebration of the Resurrection of my Lord and Savior, it seems fitting to make a wreath with a heart to signify the love God had for each of us. "He is Risen, as He said." What love the Father has bestowed upon us to send His one and only Son to give his life that we could have a personal relationship with Him and become the children of the living God.
I used things I had on hand on this wreath, for the most part. I went to a dollar store and bought a few flowers and some colorful eggs on sticks. I had the straw heart and the ribbon. This wreath cost me approximately $4.00, with all I had on hand.
Here is what you need:
A straw heart
Eggs on stick
Glue gun and glue sticks
Wire and wire cutters
Remove the plastic from the heart shaped straw wreath.
Wrap the heart wreath with the pink ribbon and secure in place with the floral pins.
Make a bow to go on the heart. Go here for bow making tutorial.
Cut all flowers with wire cutters, leaving a 3 to 4 inch stem.
Group flowers of like kinds together as shown below.
Start organizing flowers and eggs down one side of the wreath as shown.
Hang on a wall in your home or on you door.
I made this banner to go on the Spring Wreath so I can use it for Easter as well.
It looks fresh and springy. I am pleased with it.
