Delightful Chocolate Chip Cookie Dessert

Scripture to Live By:

This week has been a very busy week in our house hold.  Many things going on.  Three Bible lessons to prepare and to deliver, ranging from adult ladies to preschool with food to prepare for each group and crafts for some of the groups.  I am so thankful for the Word of God and the instruction I can glean from it.  The following verses were very meaningful to me this week.

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee." Isaiah 26:3

In order for me to have peace in every situation my mind has to be fixed on honoring God in the things I am doing and not on myself and how well I will be perceived. I have to die to the self within me continually to have my heart and mind fixed on Jesus and doing what he has called me to do.  Therefore, I must follow the instruction found in the following verse.

"Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you." 1 Peter 5:7

Recipe Post:

I am not sure where I saw this recipe, but  it looked incredible, so I wanted to make it and see if it was as good as it looked.  Believe me it is.  I took it to a meeting at our church and all the ladies really enjoyed it and several wanted to take some home for their mates.
If you like chocolate chip cookies you will really enjoy this desert.

Printable Recipe 1 tube refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough
1 8 ounce of cream cheese
1 cup of powered sugar
1 16 ounce frozen whipped topping (divided)
3 cups of cold milk
1 package of instant chocolate pudding
1 package of instant french vanilla pudding
1 cup of chopped pecans
Hershey bar chocolate curls (optional)

Let the refrigerated cookie dough set at room temperature for approximately 30 minutes.
(This will help to make it more spreadable.)

Spread the dough out on a 9 x 13 inch dish.

Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove and let it cool completely.

While the cookie dough is cooling, mix with electric mixer,
1 (8 ounce) package of cream cheese and 1 cup of powdered sugar.

Blend in  1 and 3/4 cup of whipped topping that is thawed.

When the cookie crust is completely cooled, spread the above mixture on top of the cookie crust, as seen below.

Set aside.

Mix up 1 package of instant chocolate pudding, 1 package of instant French vanilla pudding and 3 cups of cold milk.  Beat with the mixer on low setting for approximately two minutes or until the pudding thickens.

Pour pudding over the cream cheese layer and smooth it out.

Put in the refrigerator for approximately 15 to 20 minutes until it sets up.

While the pudding is setting up, chop one cup of pecans and make your chocolate curls from a Hershey bar. (Optional) I make my my curls by using a potato peeler.

Add the rest of the whipped topping to the pudding layer and smooth out.

Sprinkle nut and chocolate curls over the whipped topping layer.

Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Add a few chocolate chips to each plate serving, if desired.

I made this and took it to our ladies meeting and all the ladies enjoyed it.
If you like Chocolate Chip cookies you will think this is the ultimate.

Blessings,
