Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy,he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God's power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
1 Peter 3:3-9
A few weeks ago we had our 14th Annual Ladies Conference and the theme was Women of the Bible. Our church hosted the event. Some seventeen other churches attended. It was sure a special day for all that attended. God gave me the opportunity to be one of the speakers. I so love sharing the Word of God with ladies. The event ran from 9:00 am through 3:00. The hosting church women dressed as different women of the Bible. The day was a special blessing.
We had a luncheon that was a real hit as well. The recipe I am sharing is only one of many salads that we served that day. I really enjoyed it, I thought you might as well.
If you are looking for a good pasta salad that is very tasty, this is the one. It has become my favorite. Hope you will try it and see what you think. Here is what you will need.
1 green pepper chopped (I used red and orange peppers because I didn't have a green one.)
1 pkg of cherry tomatoes halved or 3 Roma tomatoes
1 8 ounce bottle of zesty Italian dressing
1 8 ounce can of olives sliced
4 ounces of shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 onion chopped or use 3-4 green onions.
4 ounces of pepperoni
Cook Pasta according to directions on box, rinse with cold water and drain. Set aside.
Cut up peppers tomatoes, chop onions, and olives.
Then I cut it into pieces.
Put all the ingredients in a large bowl and mix with the 8 ounces of Zesty Italian Dressing
Serve with a few sprigs of fresh parsley.
Enjoy with or without garlic bread. Yummy!
Blessings,
