Easter Cupcakes

Scripture to Live By:
Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;  For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
1 Corinthians 15:1,3-4

I have been making cupcakes for the Easter Celebrations that are going on this week. Children are so special to us and many of them that we work with are from broken homes or are foster children, so I like to make special treats for them.  They are all so precious to us.   God loves each and every child and He has created them with purpose and plans.  I am so thankful to have a small part in each of their lives.

Recipe Post:
1 cake mix
3 eggs
1 cup of water
1/3 cup of oil
1 can of frosting
2 boxes of candy basket handles
Cup cake papers
Favor boxes (Easter designs)

Line muffin tins with cup cake papers

Mix up cake mix according to the directions on the package and put 1/4 cup of batter in each muffin tin.

Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

Remove from pan and cool on a cooling rack.

While they are cooling color your frosting green.  Add approximately 1/2 teaspoon of green paste coloring.

Fill a pastry tube with the frosting and use a large star tube to decorate the cupcakes. Use a swirl design to decorate each cupcake.

Line a dish with Easter grass to place your cupcakes on.

There are 6 handles in each box of candy handles.

Decorate each cup cake with a handle and some speckled jelly beans.

Or you can decorate them by using the Favor Boxes.

Fill each box with Easter grass.

Place a cupcake that is decorated with speckled jelly beans in each box.
Either way you choose to make them, they will be a treat for the ones who get them.

I really like the the Candy Basket handles on the cupcakes.

So cute.

Children will really enjoy them and I will enjoy sharing with them.

May you have a blessed Easter Celebration.
