Scripture to Live By:
And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.
Matthew 28:5-7
I really like the Spring of the year when the flower begin to bloom again and the birds begin to built their nest in preparation of laying their eggs and bringing forth new life. I like seeing the trees get their leaves and seeing the cattle with their off springs. I so enjoy the warmer weather and look forward to summer.
I also enjoy making Peanut Butter Chocolate Birds Nests Treats, to eat and share with others.
I am making these for our Awana clubbers and Junior Church children. Perhaps you would like to make them, as well. Here is a list of the ingredients you will need along with the instructions to make them.
3 Tablespoons of butter or margarine
4 1/2 cups of miniature marshmallows
1/4 cup milk chocolate chips
1/4 cup of peanut butter (I use crunchy peanut butter)
4 cups of chow mien or rice noodles (I prefer rice noodles - they are smaller)
1 cup of speckled jelly beans or candy eggs.
Place back in microwave oven and cook for another 1 1/2 minutes.
Butter hands well and them take about a golf ball size of coated noodles and shape into bird nests.
Lay them on wax paper to set.
Lay them on wax paper to set.
Put three speckled jelly beans or chocolate eggs in each nest. Let them cool completely.
Recipe makes approximately 15 treats.
After they have cooled down. Store in a sealed container
They look cute served on Easter Grass.
Hope you have a blessed Resurrection Sunday, as you celebrate our Risen Savior.
