Cinnamon Sugar Popcorn

Recipe Post:
I really like popcorn and I like cinnamon sugar.  Oh, the combination of the two is yummy.  It is so simple to make.  All you will need is a bag of microwaveable popcorn, cinnamon and sugar.

Cook popcorn in microwave oven according to directions on the box or use your popcorn setting on microwave oven.

My microwave oven setting is for 2 minutes and 10 seconds.  Some microwave oven settings may be different.  Do not let popcorn cook any longer than you hear the popcorn popping or it will burn.  

Remove from microwave oven. 

 Make your own cinnamon and sugar, or you could purchase it already made.  
 Measure out 1/2 cup granulated sugar and 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon.
(You will not need this much for a bag of popcorn but you can make this much and store it in a plastic sealed container and have it on hand to use at a later time.)

 Mix this up in a bowl until well blended.  

Put desired amount of popped popcorn in a brown paper bag.  

Add 1 tablespoon at a time of the cinnamon sugar mixture. 

Pour it into the bag with the popcorn.

Fold the top of the bag down and shake to distribute the cinnamon sugar through out the popcorn.  Taste and see if you have the desired amount.  If you do not, add another tablespoon and repeat until you get the taste of cinnamon sugar popcorn you desire.  

Pour into a bowl and repeat the above with the remainder of the popped corn.

It is good to eat as a snack or serve for a crowd.  I think all will enjoy a new taste for popcorn.  
You can make this with your children.  I know they will enjoy making it.  

If you have some unexpected guests this can be a quick snack to make.  
It taste like gourmet popcorn.
