Spaghetti Pie

Scripture to Live By:
And this is the confidence that we have toward Him, that if we ask anything according to His will he hears us.  And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of Him.  John 5:15,16

Recipe Post:
1 1/2 pounds of ground beef, or turkey or chicken breast (salt and pepper to taste)
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup of green pepper
1 jar Spaghetti sauce.
12 ounces spaghetti (I used whole wheat) Cook and drain
1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
2 eggs, beaten
2 teaspoons butter
2 cups of cottage cheese
8 ounces of shredded mozzarella cheese

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cut up onions and peppers

Cook beef or turkey or ground chicken breast with onion and peppers in large skillet over medium heat until meat is browned.   Drain off any grease.

Add jar of spaghetti sauce to meat and simmer for about 10 minutes.

Cook the spaghetti according to directions on the box.

Drain the water off spaghetti and put in a large bowl.

Add Parmesan cheese, beaten eggs and butter.

Mix until butter has melted.

Put spaghetti mixture in a 9 x 13 in dish.   Top with cottage cheese.

Then add layer of meat sauce.

Top with Mozzarella Cheese

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes or until  thoroughly heated and cheese is melted.  Makes 6 to 8 servings.

Cool 5-10 minutes before cutting to let it set well.

It is good with broccoli side dish or any side dish of your choice.  I like it with a salad and crescent rolls and jelly.

Hope you will give it a try.

Blessings,
